Like its more famous namesake in Italy, Venice is a city on the water.  Venice’s quaint downtown has Italian-style architecture and many homes do too.  Located south of Sarasota, Venice has great restaurants and shops. Up until a few years ago this was a hidden gem. Now everyone wants to live there just as much as Sarasota.  Outdoor activities are a big part of Venice life. Golfing, boating, fishing and swimming in the Gulf. There is a great beach and 700 ft long fishing pier.  Venice is a rapidly growing city with 100’s of new homes being built in amazing planned communities.  In addition the older neighborhoods are closer to the water and the beautiful “Old Florida” style.
